Privacy Policy

Work Simpler is an automation consultancy run by Sam Dawson. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We've kept it short and human — if anything's unclear, email sam@worksimpler.co.uk.
What we collect
- Call transcripts — when you call a number connected to our platform, the call audio is processed in real time by our speech-to-text provider (AssemblyAI) and converted to a text transcript. The audio itself is not stored or retained. The transcript is stored for the duration of the client's subscription plus 90 days.
- Caller information — your phone number (from caller ID), your name and business name (if you tell us during the call).
- Business enrichment data — if you mention your business name, we may look up publicly available information (website, Companies House records, review sites) to help us understand your business before following up.
- Dashboard account data — if you're a Work Simpler customer with dashboard access: your email address, name, and login activity.
If you do not wish your call to be transcribed, please end the call after the AI assistant's introduction.
Why we collect it
Everything we collect is to provide and improve the service:
- So Sam can follow up with the right context after a call
- So the AI assistant can recognise returning callers and provide a better experience
- So we can measure how well the service is working and improve it
We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers listed below.
How long we keep it
Call transcripts and associated data are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. After that, data is permanently deleted. You can request early deletion at any time.
Who processes your data
We use the following third-party services to provide Work Simpler. Your data may be processed by them in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Google (Gemini) — AI language model for call analysis and business enrichment
- AssemblyAI — real-time speech-to-text transcription
- Inworld AI — text-to-speech voice synthesis
- Telnyx — telephone connectivity (SIP/voice)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — infrastructure hosting (EU region)
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have your data corrected if it's inaccurate
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Receive your data in a portable format

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
